Till recently job portals used to play vital role in job search but now in the networking era job search are being done through the social networking sites. With social media jobs search is taking a new route where vast opportunities in the job market are actually being brought into the candidate s home front. This may be because every company is having an account in the social networking sites and 85% of youth are following social networking sites.

Social media s has a very broad reach out. Till recently it used to be a platform to share individual interests which has gradually changed as a platform to share professional interests. All companies and organizations are considering social networking as an important tool in their marketing or communication strategies. They are regularly posting updates regarding their business activities and are also being interested to carry on their recruitments through this media. Not only that the companies are also considering social media sites as best source to attract talent with cutting costs on their recruitment process. So, social recruitment has in fact become an important aspect in the HR department of many companies related to different industries. Companies are now posting their vacancies and required qualifications and skills for the job on the social media sites.
